Veggie Water

We are getting all sorts of healthy around here. I love Kadee's latest recipe.. the Roasted Broccoli. Simple. Full of flavor. Well I have another recipe to go right along with hers.

Veggie water.

What?

You know like lemon water.. but just vegetables instead of lemons. Our family nick-name is fresh water. And we give a long sigh Ahhhhhh after we take a drink.  The first time my 6 year old tried this she said, that tastes fresh!

And she is right. It does!

So to make this little concoction.  You just need a few ingredients...

2-3 celery stalks
1/2 sliced cucumber
small handful of fresh parsley leaves
4-5 mint leaves
1 sliced lime
2 gallons of water
and a nice crushed ice (sonic ice is amaaazing)

Now I could say something fancy like first water then ice or first mint then cucumber then ice. But let's be real. It doesn't matter. Put it all in together. Be sure to wash all of your ingredients thoroughly before placing in the water. Once assembled, allow water to rest for 1/2 before serving to allow the flavors to mingle. The long it rests the stronger the flavor.

This water is perfect for large groups such as receptions, parties, BBQ, and family events. A nice spin on the tradition water. Everyone is going to want to try it.
