It's one that reminds me of family gathering. I have an aunt who makes this a lot and I always eat more than I should.
I think its SO good because it has it all...
A crunch salty buttery crust.
Creamy core
Sweet berry topping.
( you can use any berry. I used a bag of frozen mixed berries.?)
2 1/2 cups crushed pretzels
1 1/2 cubes melted butter
Place pretzels in a 9x13 pan pour over butter and mix,
Press flat. Bake 400 for 10 minutes. Let cool completely before layering.
8 oz cream cheese
8 oz cool whip
1 cup sugar
Mix till smooth and fluffy
When pretzels are cooled layer on top of them
6 oz raspberry jello
2 cup boiling water
about 12 oz frozen or fresh Berries (fresh is best, and sometimes frozen strawberries can give it a slimy texture....you know those frozen strawberries..)
1 small can of crushed pineapple (or 1 cup)
Make jello with water, stir two minutes, add raspberries and whole can of pineapple WITH juice. Pour on top of cream cheese mixture. Refrigerate for a few hours- till jello is set.

We love this! It's a staple at all our holiday and special meals. I add a little brown sugar to my crust for a little something extra. I tried something new last time. Instead of adding the berries into the jello, I crushed them up a bit (they were fresh raspberries from our yard) and mixed them in with the cream filling. It was super yummy.
