Fry Sauce

I love potatoes, always have.
When I was twelve and my parents announced that we would be moving from Kansas City to Idaho, the potato state- I distinctly remember being excited because I LOVED potatoes. I love them in almost ever shape size or form. The only thing I don't love about them is that they lack all the great vitamins most veggies have.

So, of course, with that being said you can guess that I love french fries! I, personally think the thicker the better. I like to be able to taste the meat of the potato in every salty bite.
however, you will never see my pass up a side of mcdonalds wiry fries. {salivating}

Once upon a time every fast food joint from Idaho to Utah carried "Fry Sauce." You can't really find it anywhere now? Everytime I would mix the sauce I felt it was missing something? The other day I was making a "lame mom" meal....you know like frozen fries and frozen chicken nuggets and I had a light bulb moment.

I tried adding a little chili sauce to my fry sauce. It made up for the missing link. it added the third dimension of "tang" that ketchup and mayo missed. So for some stellar fry sauce try making it like this.

1/2 cup mayo
1 Tbs Heinz Chili Sauce
2+ Tbs Ketchup
1/2 tsp seasoning salt
if needed- salt and pepper to taste.

  1. Some people use sugar as the third ingredient. It's good! :]
