Grape Salad with Brown Sugar and Pecans

This salad has been served twice now at ward functions and I finally got my hands on the recipe. It is amazingly good...and easy. The topping is the best.

Ingredients:

  • 4 lbs grapes(a mix of colors); cleaned

  • 8 ounces sour cream

  • 8 ounces cream cheese; softened

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract For the topping:

  • 1 cup brown sugar; packed

  • 1 cup crushed pecans Instructions:
In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and crushed pecans for the topping. Set aside.
In a large bowl, mix together cream cheese, sugar sour cream and vanilla until blended. Stir in the grapes. Cover with the topping and chill for at least two hours.

    before the topping...
This is about 2 lb.'s of grapes

    1. This was so good at the BBQ last night, but I knew that if I made one I'd eat the entire thing with all of those naughty ingredients. I happened to come across this "skinny" version on pinterest. Do you think it's worth a try? http://www.skinnytaste.com/2010/07/creamy-grape-dessert.html
