Sunflower & Honey Wheat Bread

Sunflowers and honey. Sound's so happy, when I say that in my mind I picture myself out frolicking in a sunflower field with a white lace dress on under the sun kissing rays while..... reality check. I'm sitting here in my stretchy pants with a messy bun on my head. No sun kissin either. Oh well, I have a beautiful loaf of bread can't stop eating it. And I'm going to daydream anyways because it is delicious!

This bread is packed with yummy stuff. And it makes 3 loafs or 5 mini loafs +1 loaf! Love it.

Ingredients:

2 pgk active dry yeast
31/4 cup warm water
1/4 cup bread flour (or regular flour)
1/3 cup canola oil
1/3 cup honey
3 tsp. salt
61/2-71/2 cups whole wheat flour
1/2 cup sunflower seeds

Directions:

In a large bowl dissolve yeast in warm water. Add the bread flour, oil, honey, salt and 4 cups wheat flour. Beat until smooth. Stir in sunflower kernels and enough remaining flour to form a firm dough.

In your Kitchen Aid like mixer attach the dough hook and allow it to knead dough. If you don't have a Kitchen Aid, turn onto a floured surface; knead until smooth and elastic, about 6-8 min. Place in a greased bowl turning once to grease the top. Cover and let rise in warm place until doubled, about 1 hour.

Punch dough down; divide into three portions. Shape into loaves; place in three greased bread pans or 5 mini-loaf pans and 1 regular. Cover and let rise until doubled, about 30 min. Bake at 350 for 35-40 min or until golden brown. Brush with melted butter. Remove from pans to wire racks to cool.
Then take your mini-loaves and tie a sweet little ribbon around them and drop them off at a neighbors. They will love ya for it :)
